SM Scholarship How to Apply!

SM has officially announced the start of the application for SM Scholarship online application, Students can now Submit Application Online..(SM Scholarship)

SM Foundation was established by Mr. Henry Sy, Sr. and Mrs. Felicidad T. Sy in 1983, with a core principle of PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE. The foundation, which has served as the heart of the Sys’ SM Group of Companies,

SM aims to empower the people in their communities through health care, disaster response, shelter, environmental programs, care for people with special needs, and education.

In the area of education, SM Foundation has been conducting a scholarship program for college students for over two decades now.

SM College Scholarship believes that education is the primary solution to poverty, and through the scholarship program, SM Foundation supports the youth attain their full potential and achieve their dreams.

What are the priority courses for the SM Scholarship?

SM College Scholarship gives financial assistance to incoming college students taking up the following courses:
1. BS in Computer Science
2. BS in Computer Engineering
3. BS in Mechanical Engineering
4. BS in Accounting Information Systems
5. BSBA in Management Accounting
6. BS in Information Technology
7. BS in Civil Engineering
8. BS in Accountancy
9. BS in Internal Auditing
10. BS in Elementary Education
11. BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering / BS in Electronics Engineering
12. BS in Electrical Engineering
13. BS in Accounting Technology
14. BS in Financial Management
15. BS in Secondary Education major in Biology, Chemistry, General Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, English


The Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) is a financial aid program under Republic Act 10931 (Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act).

It provides grants to underprivileged students enrolled in:
1. State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)
2. Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs)
3. CHED-recognized private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)

SUCs/LUCsUp to ₱40,000Allowance for educational expenses
Persons with Disabilities₱30,000Additional ₱10,000 for board exams


3. Eligibility Criteria
1.
Filipino citizens enrolled in undergraduate programs.
2. Priority groups:
. Students listed in DSWD’s Listahanan 2.0 (low-income households).
. Enrollees in private HEIs located in areas without SUCs/LUCs (PNSL category).
. Persons with disabilities (PWDs)
. No grade requirement, but students must not exceed the standard program duration (e.g., 4–5 years + 1-year grace period)

1. Proof of enrollment (Certificate of Registration).
2. For private HEIs: Certificate of Residency (if applying under PNSL category).
3. For PWDs: Valid PWD ID.
4. Income documents (if not in Listahanan 2.0) 689.

What are the qualifications?
1. Grade 12 graduates from public and private schools in the areas covered. Applicants from private schools must have a DepEd voucher and must be Grade 10 finishers from public high schools.
2. Has a general weighted average grade of at least 92% or its equivalent for Grade 12 – 1st semester.
3. Has an annual total household income of P150,000 or less.

2. Monthly stipend;
3. Part-time job opportunities during semestral break and Christmas break;

The SM Scholarship 2023 will start to accept online applications starting February 1 To March 30, 2023.
